Shopping a baby registry? Here's how to be a great gift-giver.

Do Buy From the Registry

The parents chose those items for a reason. Going off-registry means they might end up with things they don't need or want.

Do Mark Items as Purchased

This prevents duplicates. Most registries do this automatically, but double-check.

Do Include a Gift Receipt

In case something doesn't work or they got duplicates from another source.

Don't Go Rogue

Unless you know them very well, stick to the registry. That cute outfit is nice, but what they need is the bottle warmer.

Cash Funds Are Okay

If the registry includes a diaper fund or nursery fund, contributing money is perfectly acceptable.
